February 26, 2010

Antti Wirman, WARMEN guitarist and brother of CHILDREN OF BODOM keyboardist/WARMEN mainman Janne Wirman, will fill in for SURVIVORS ZERO's Sami Jämsén on the Finnish death metal band's four-week North American tour with fellow Finns FINNTROLL, MOONSORROW and SWALLOW THE SUN. The trek, dubbed "Finnish Metal", will kick off on April 6 in Springfield, Virginia and cover over 20 cities in what is hoped to be a yearly event.

SURVIVORS ZERO's debut album, "CMXIX", was released on September 9 via Cobra Records. The CD was mixed at Black Lounge Studio in Avesta, Sweden while the mastering was handled by Pelle Henricsson at Tonteknik Recording in Umeå, Sweden.

Spinefarm Records released a WARMEN compilation album entitled "The Evil That Warmen Do" on January 27.

WARMEN's fourth album, "Japanese Hospitality", entered the Finnish chart at position No. 36. The CD was released via Spinefarm Records. The 10-song effort includes two cover versions — "Separate Ways", originally recorded by JOURNEY, and "Black Cat" by JANET JACKSON, featuring a guest appearance by Jonna Kosonen. Other guest musicians that appear on the CD include Laiho, Rantanen, Kotipelto and Marko Vaara.
